Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Romano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn comes to the cage accompanied by Loser. Romano has chosen Mosh as his entrance music. Andre Romano will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Penn misses with a hook. Romano ducked under it nicely. Romano tries to clinch there but Penn circles away.
Penn punishes Romano's body with a nice straight punch. Penn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Penn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Romano sprawls well initially but Penn persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Romano is looking for a sweep. Penn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Penn passes to full mount! Romano is wriggling around trying to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penn is looking to pass Romano's guard but actually Romano recovers to full guard. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Danga de danga de dang - Penn scores with a four punch combination! Penn throws a front kick aimed at Romano's knee but Romano avoids it well. Penn circles away from the clinch attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Romano looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Penn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Romano is trying to maintain the position but Penn is very close to passing his half guard. Penn wants to pass to mount but Romano is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Romano is just riding it out for now. Penn eventually gives up the hold. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Penn in particular looking to stall. Penn is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Romano reverses the position - he's now on top in Penn's guard. Penn keeping moving, preventing Romano from controlling successfully. Romano preventing the sweep.

Penn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Romano's half guard. Romano wants to improve his position but Penn is controlling well.
Penn passes to full mount! Romano is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Penn locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Romano is forced to tap!
