Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between yii kuu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryno Venter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). yii kuu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryno Venter's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kuu misses with a looping left.

kuu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
kuu looking to sit in guard and control but Venter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

kuu shoots in looking for a takedown. Venter tries to sprawl out of it but kuu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Venter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A head kick misses from kuu.
Venter looks to land a combination but kuu avoids it well.
kuu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Venter avoids it really well and circles away.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Venter.
Venter lands a jab to kuu's midsection.
kuu is breathing heavily.
Venter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Venter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

kuu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Venter's corner calls for a 1-2. Venter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Venter shoots in and drives through. kuu sprawls well.

kuu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Venter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Venter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Venter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

kuu doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Venter counters with a nice double leg into guard.

kuu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Venter keeps working.

kuu swings around for an armbar but Venter sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into kuu's guard.
Venter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Venter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Ryno Venter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
kuu is stalling here. Venter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! kuu seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Venter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Venter stands up and beckons kuu to his feet.

kuu rushes Venter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
kuu is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Venter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Venter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
kuu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Venter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
A nice elbow there by Venter.
Venter is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Venter pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
