Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Edwinsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Filmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwinsson comes to the ring accompanied by M by Ayumi Hamasaki. Magnus Edwinsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwinsson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Filmer.

It looks like Magnus Edwinsson has been cut.

Edwinsson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Filmer pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Filmer stuffs the takedown attempt from Edwinsson. Edwinsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Filmer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Edwinsson.

Filmer tries to clinch up but Edwinsson circles away and keeps his distance.

Filmer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Edwinsson has Filmer pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Edwinsson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Filmer tumbling to the mat - Edwinsson dives into Filmer's guard.
Filmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Edwinsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Edwinsson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Filmer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Filmer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Filmer!
Filmer tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Edwinsson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Filmer off and has taken his back!

Edwinsson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
I would not like to be Filmer right now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Filmer covers up after that shot from Edwinsson.

Edwinsson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Filmer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Filmer for a finish.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Filmer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Edwinsson gets his way!

Edwinsson has an Americana. Filmer didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Edwinsson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Edwinsson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
