Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yong Tsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shaun Hammond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yong Tsi! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammond looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tsi looking for submissions off his back. Tsi looking for submissions off his back. Tsi looking for submissions off his back. Tsi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hammond takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsi gets full guard. Tsi working for a triangle but Hammond defends it easily.
Tsi looks gassed! Hammond wants to stand but Tsi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond is in close to Tsi's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hammond tries to stand but Tsi is controlling from the bottom. Tsi looking for a guillotine here but Hammond defends easily.
Tsi is looking for a triangle here but Hammond uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hammond controlling the position from side mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tsi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hammond connects with a decent elbow.

Hammond tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hammond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tsi on the ground. Tsi is trying desperately to improve position. Hammond is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tsi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tsi is looking to get to half guard. Tsi wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Tsi is trapped and Hammond is scoring with shots to the head and body. Tsi rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hammond takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tsi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hammond shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tsi is trying to defend but Hammond finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tsi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Tsi looking for subs from the bottom but Hammond mounts him! Tsi is breathing heavily. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hammond controlling the position easily from mount. Hammond has control of Tsi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tsi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tsi is desperately trying to improve his position but Hammond has a good base and remains in mount. Tsi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsi is bucking up trying to escape but Hammond cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Hammond with shots to the head and body - Tsi looks very uncomfortable down there. Tsi taking shots to the head. Tsi is working to get back to half guard.
Hammond scoring with strikes but Tsi is staying in there. Hammond takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tsi regains half guard. Hammond could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hammond lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hammond content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shaun Hammond. Hammond scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shaun Hammond dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Tsi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hammond counters with a single leg into guard. Tsi didn't expect that. Tsi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hammond rolls with it to try and escape but Tsi cranks on the arm and Hammond is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
