Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruki Pushki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruki Pushki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Valdez!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushki misses with a takedown attempt - Valdez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Valdez throws a series of punches but Pushki avoids them all with ease.

Diego Valdez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pushki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Valdez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pushki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Valdez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pushki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pushki shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Pushki postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Valdez to stand up.

Pushki tries to free his leg and advance position but Valdez is retaining full guard.

Pushki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valdez but Valdez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pushki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valdez is fending him off so far but Pushki persists. Nope, Valdez circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Valdez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A jab lands there for Pushki.
Nice sprawl there from Valdez as Pushki shoots in.
Valdez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pushki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pushki gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pushki tries to score a power double leg takedown but Valdez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pushki somewhat.
Valdez throws a right hand that Pushki ducks under and follows up with a left that Pushki also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Valdez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Valdez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pushki fails with the takedown.
Valdez throws a right and a left that both miss.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pushki is defended easily by Valdez.
Valdez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pushki shoots in but no luck this time.

Valdez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pushki shoots in looking for a takedown. Valdez tries to sprawl out of it but Pushki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valdez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pushki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Valdez is squirming around, avoiding Pushki's attempts to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pushki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Valdez wants to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
No luck for Pushki with that takedown attempt.

Pushki shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Valdez is trying to defend but Pushki finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pushki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
