Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel de la Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Flynt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynt has chosen La La La by Lil Wayne as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynt digs a good hook to de la Cruz's body.

Flynt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
de la Cruz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Flynt to score with a decent uppercut.
Flynt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Flynt scores with a crisp jab that stopped de la Cruz in his tracks.
Flynt cracks a nice hook into de la Cruz's ribs.
Flynt looks to land a left hand but de la Cruz moved out of range nicely.
Spencer Flynt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

de la Cruz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than de la Cruz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
de la Cruz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Flynt has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Flynt tries to reverse the position but de la Cruz maintains control.

de la Cruz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Flynt is looking to escape.

de la Cruz goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Flynt is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
de la Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Flynt would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Flynt wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of de la Cruz's closed guard. He's half up but de la Cruz has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! de la Cruz pivots and extends the arm, Flynt falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by de la Cruz! Well done that man!
