The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Richardson stalks Turner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Turner's face. Turner staggers backwards, shaken.
Turner scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Turner chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Turner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Richardson throws a right and a left that Turner avoids nicely.
Turner missing with a left hand there. Richardson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Some wild striking there from Richardson.
Richardson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Turner at a distance.
Richardson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Turner throws out a leg kick but Richardson moves out of range and Turner only half commits.

Richardson has closed the distance and engaged Turner in a clinch.
Turner is trying to stall.

Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Richardson walks into a straight right hand from Turner.

Turner tries to keep at a distance but Richardson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Turner scores a nice knee to the body.
Richardson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A head punch on the inside from Turner fails to land.
Still in the clinch, Richardson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Turner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Richardson slips a jab and a cross from Turner.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richardson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Richardson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Turner throws a solid leg kick but Richardson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Turner.
Richardson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Turner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Richardson!
Turner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Richardson's face.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh Richardson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turner breaks from Richardson's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turner is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Turner!
