Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Recodo!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Recodo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Carwin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carwin showed some decent athleticism there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shane Carwin.

Carwin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Recodo has picked Carwin up and slammed him! Carwin can't keep hold of the triangle and Recodo manages to pass to side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Recodo is looking to take a break and control but Carwin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Carwin slips a nice elbow through Recodo's hands, connecting with Recodo's forehead.
