Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and joe d (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David Becker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Becker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, joe d! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Becker misses with a hook. d uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Becker. Becker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Becker tries to bum rush d with a series of wild strikes but d uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Becker throws a right hand that d ducks under and follows up with a left that d also avoids with ease. d shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. d showed some decent athleticism there. d is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! d jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Becker is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Becker and d has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becker stops d from passing to mount. d is looking to take a break and control but Becker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. d is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Becker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. d tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no d has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. d tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. d trying to control the action but Becker is working from the bottom. d tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! d swings around for an armbar but Becker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into d's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
joe d dominated that round. That's time! Becker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Becker throws a right and a left that d avoids nicely. Becker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but d circles away quickly and effectively. d feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Becker wants to stand up but d is controlling him. d is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Becker being controlled here, momentarily. d thows a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as d accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Becker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from d. d throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Becker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. d postures up in Becker's guard and throws a big left but Becker blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. d drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and d jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A combination from Becker does no damage. David Becker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Becker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from d. Becker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract d. d misses with a takedown attempt - Becker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. David Becker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Becker does no damage. d tries for a takedown but Becker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. David Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of joe d.

Becker looks to land a right hand but d moved out of range. d shoots for a takedown but Becker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. d shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. d throwing strikes but missing. d trying to control but Becker is working from the bottom. Becker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for d on the ground. d advances position into side control! Becker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Becker wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! d trying to control the action but Becker is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
joe d showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
d shoots in but no luck this time. d bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. d misses with an attempted head punch from side control. d throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Becker works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. d with the ground and pound but Becker uses the opportunity to regain guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. d postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. d drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and d jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. d pushing down on Becker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. d is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Becker has managed to free his arm - good work. d is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becker is trying to stand back up but d is controlling him
joe d is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. d controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. d is looking for submissions but instead, Becker has regained full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! d sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! joe d comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got d winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
