Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cake Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Paul Pulido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cake Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Paul Pulido! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jr moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Pulido, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pulido avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jr stuffs the takedown. Pulido slips a jab and a cross from Jr.
Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Jr is breathing heavily. Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Pulido closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pulido slips a nice elbow through Jr's hands, connecting with Jr's forehead. Jr has hold of Pulido's hands but Pulido slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Pulido perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jr tries to get out of the position. Pulido is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jr is in trouble now - Pulido has advanced to mount! Pulido lands with some strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulido wants to control the pace but Jr is squirming around nicely. Pulido is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jr can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jr is in a horrible position here. Pulido smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pulido unloading with bombs! Pulido with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pulido putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Pulido in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Jr tries to lock up and control but Pulido gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pulido connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pulido misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pulido has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulido has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jr's face.
Pulido scoring with strikes but Jr is staying in there. Jr tries to reverse the position but Pulido maintains control. You get the feeling that Jr really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pulido with shots to the head and body - Jr looks very uncomfortable down there. Pulido fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A nice elbow there by Pulido. Pulido throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jr wants to hold on but Pulido pushes him away. Jr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pulido is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jr can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulido working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pulido with a couple of short strikes. Jr is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Pulido cracks Jr with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The referee warns Jr that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pulido throws some wild stikes that Jr manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jr is looking to get to half guard. Jr wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jr tries to hold on but Pulido pushes him away. Pulido with the ground and pound from mount. Pulido sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jr tries to hold on but Pulido postures up. Pulido looking to ground and pound but Jr is blocking nicely. Pulido tries to control but Jr wriggling away. Pulido landing strikes from the mount and Jr is in trouble! Pulido landing strikes from the mount. Jr wants to control but Pulido is having none of it. Jr's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Pulido working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pulido is landing with some decent strikes but Jr is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jr is trying to escape the mount.
Jr throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pulido. What's that going to do exactly? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Paul Pulido dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jr changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Horrible takedown by Pulido or perhaps it was just good defense by Jr which made him look bad. Some wild striking there from Jr.
Pulido misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jr misses with a double jab.
Pulido closes the distance and clinches up with Jr, looking for a takedown. Pulido pushes Jr against the cage but Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Cake Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Paul Pulido. Pulido keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pulido walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Pulido has a takedown stuffed. Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jr scores with a three punch combo!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A punch combination from Jr misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pulido. Pulido looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pulido not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jr is looking to control Pulido's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jr avoid being mounted? Jr looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pulido trying to mount his opponent but Jr defends it. Jr wants to improve his position but Pulido is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jr avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pulido. Pulido lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pulido throwing shots but Jr is blocking nicely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jr throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cake Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jr throws a right and a left that both miss. Pulido looks for a takedown but Jr sprawls well. Jr throws a series of punches but Pulido moves out of range. Jr misses with the combination.
Pulido tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jr swivels and escapes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jr's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jr duly obliges. Jr tries for a takedown but Pulido circles away easily so Pulido counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jr holds on and takes a little breather. Pulido throwing strikes but missing. Pulido wants to pass the guard but Jr is keeping the position. Pulido won't allow Jr to get back to his feet. Pulido throwing strikes but missing. Jr lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
John Paul Pulido has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pulido thows a big elbow that misses. Pulido with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pulido was well out of range. Poor timing from Jr. Pulido shoots for a takedown but Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pulido blocks a head kick by Jr.
Jr takes the fight into the clinch. Pulido is trying to drag Jr to the mat but Jr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jr wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jr is pressed up against the cage. Pulido has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jr down to the mat. Jr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jr misses with a takedown and Pulido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jr! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Paul Pulido showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Jr tries to bum rush Pulido with a series of wild strikes but Pulido uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cake Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pulido moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pulido is defended easily by Jr. Jr throws a combination that misses and Pulido counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jr tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Pulido manages to move to mount!
Jr manages to control the position for a moment. Jr is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jr is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Jr tries to hold on but Pulido postures up. Pulido raining down shots from the mount! Pulido can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jr is looking to escape. Jr tries to hold on but Pulido postures up. Pulido unloads with some shots from mount but Jr bucks and avoids them well.

Pulido raining down shots from the mount! Jr is looking to get to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pulido looking to finish Jr with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jr!
And that's the end of the fight! John Paul Pulido comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pulido winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
