Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omari El Hazad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Brent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Omari El Hazad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Brent! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brent on the wrong end of a nice hook. El Hazad is looking to clinch. Horrible takedown by El Hazad or perhaps it was just good defense by Brent which made him look bad. El Hazad misses the shot to the body. El Hazad is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brent misses with a few strikes there.
El Hazad looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brent! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. El Hazad unloads with some shots from mount but Brent bucks and avoids them well.
Brent tries to buck El Hazad off but he can't manage it. El Hazad tries to control but Brent wriggling away. Brent really wants to buck El Hazad off and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Hazad thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
El Hazad is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Brent has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Brent is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Brent blocking the ground and pound. El Hazad landing punches. El Hazad goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brent turns into him and now he's in El Hazad's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brent wants to stand and escape but instead El Hazad has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brent wants to stand up but El Hazad is controlling him. El Hazad postures up in Brent's guard and throws a big left but Brent blocks it. El Hazad distracts Brent with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as El Hazad accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. El Hazad thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brent is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. El Hazad trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. El Hazad pushes down on Brent's leg and manages to get into half guard. Brent avoiding damage under a succession of punches from El Hazad. El Hazad is trying to control the action in half guard but Brent is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. El Hazad connects with a nice short shot to Brent's temple. El Hazad sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brent defending well though. El Hazad is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. El Hazad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brent is defending against the submission attempts here by El Hazad.
El Hazad is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. El Hazad is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El Hazad looks to score with a jab to the body but Brent is just out of range. El Hazad fails with the takedown. El Hazad misses with a double jab
enabling Brent to counter with a crisp jab. El Hazad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Brent wants to get back to his feet.
El Hazad not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. El Hazad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. El Hazad prevents Brent from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Hazad passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Brent! Brent's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. El Hazad controlling the pace for now. Brent is trying to stand. El Hazad looking to finish with strikes here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. El Hazad is landing with some decent strikes but Brent is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. El Hazad thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Brent in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. El Hazad throwing strikes here but Brent is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
El Hazad can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brent is looking to escape. El Hazad goes for an armbar but Brent turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Brent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brent wanted to stand there but El Hazad had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brent wants to stand and escape but instead El Hazad has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

El Hazad has his takedown stuffed and Brent counters with a stiff right hand. El Hazad darts in trying to clinch enabling Brent to counter with a crisp jab. El Hazad scores a takedown into full mount! Brent is bucking up trying to escape but El Hazad cracks him with another couple of good strikes. El Hazad lands with some strikes. El Hazad cracks Brent with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Brent is trying to stand. Brent holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as El Hazad tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brent is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Brent is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Brent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. El Hazad looking to finish Brent with some ground and pound. This is bad for Brent! Poor strikes thrown by El Hazad there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

El Hazad jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brent is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brent and El Hazad has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brent is trying to get back to his feet. El Hazad goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brent rolls with the submission and now he's on top in El Hazad's guard! Nice work there by Brent! El Hazad has a closed guard, preventing Brent from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brent throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. El Hazad has a closed guard, preventing Brent from standing up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. El Hazad tries to clinch up. El Hazad doesn't succeed with the takedown and Brent counters with a takedown into side control. Omari El Hazad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brent wants to stand but El Hazad is controlling his arm.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Omari El Hazad. Well I reckon that's a shut out for El Hazad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
