The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brent on the wrong end of a nice hook.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as El Hazad accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

El Hazad thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Brent's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
El Hazad is landing with some decent strikes but Brent is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Brent is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Omari El Hazad.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for El Hazad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
