Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reinis Repss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Repss wants to get back to his feet.
Rua controls the position from side control.
Repss is pushing Rua's head away, looking to escape. Rua manages to hold on to the position though.
Rua is staying tight to Repss's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Rua postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Repss takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Rua scores with punches from side control.
Repss is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rua is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rua cracks Repss with a big elbow.
Repss is trying to buck Rua off.

Repss tries to escape but Rua is in control.
Rua lands an elbow.
Rua has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rua stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Repss wants to clinch up but Rua keeps it at a distance.
Rua closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Repss to the mat! Repss manages to get full guard.
Rua drops back looking for a leg! Repss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Repss manages to kick Rua off! Rua jumps back into Repss's guard.
Rua is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Rua gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rua takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Rickson Rua has been cut.
Reinis Repss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rua shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Repss napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rua stands up and beckons Repss to his feet.

Repss throws a hook to the side of Rua's head but Rua sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Repss throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Reinis Repss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Repss tries to clinch up.
Rua moves into the clinch successfully.
Rua successfully pulls guard.
Repss stopping the sweep attempt from Rua.
Repss wanted to stand there but Rua had control of the position.
Rua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Repss can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rua looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Repss wants to stand but Rua is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rua has control of Repss's left arm, preventing Repss from doing any damage.
Repss trying to control but Rua is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Repss loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Repss throws a big right hand that misses.
Repss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Repss stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Rua stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Repss tries to throw a body punch but Rua avoids it by throwing Repss back against the cage.
Rua breaks from the clinch.

and Rua counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rua stays in close to Repss's body and controls the position.
Rickson Rua overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rua's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rua drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rua jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Repss wants to get back to his feet but Rua is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rua passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Repss is letting Rua control him for a moment.
Rua passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Repss!
Rua has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Repss's face.
Repss is trying to stand but he's just given Rua his back.
Repss is breathing heavily.
Rua lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Repss hold on?!

Repss trying to get back to his feet but Rua is in full control for now.
Repss is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Rua off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Repss is covering up but some of the strikes from Rua are getting through and doing damage.
Repss defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rua's arms.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Rua controlling the positon.

Rua sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Repss taps out!
