The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Crabtree Jr is working to avoid the ground and pound but Vlad connects with a decent elbow.
Crabtree Jr pushes Vlad away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vlad gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Crabtree Jr is looking for a sweep.
Vlad working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vlad is chipping away with strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vlad goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crabtree Jr has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vlad but great work by Crabtree Jr.
Crabtree Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Crabtree Jr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vlad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Vlad has his hands clasped together around Crabtree Jr's back. He's all about the action.

Vlad is working an open guard so Crabtree Jr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fighters circling - Crabtree Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Crabtree Jr throws a looping overhand right but Vlad ducks down to avoid it.
Vlad shoots in and drives through. Crabtree Jr sprawls well.
Gibki Vlad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vlad fails with the takedown.
Vlad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Crabtree Jr is concentrating on defense, preventing Vlad from advancing position.
Vlad looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vlad tries to pass the half guard into mount. Crabtree Jr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Crabtree Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crabtree Jr tries to get out of the position.

Crabtree Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vlad is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Crabtree Jr is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
