Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Columbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Rubble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barney Rubble will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jan Columbar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barney Rubble! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubble walks into a left hand. Rubble fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rubble tries to clinch up. Rubble takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rubble keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Rubble is looking to clinch but Columbar is avoiding it.
Rubble on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Columbar. Columbar obviously looking to wear him down.
Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Rubble moves in looking to clinch but Columbar pushes him off. Rubble fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rubble tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Columbar throws a lazy right hand but Rubble sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Columbar tries a low kick but Rubble avoids it. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubble tries to close the distance and clinch up but Columbar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Barney Rubble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rubble is looking to clinch but Columbar is avoiding it.

Rubble tries to clinch but Columbar moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Rubble looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rubble tries to clinch but Columbar is having none of it. Rubble ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Columbar throws the left hand but Rubble avoids the punch easily. Columbar throws a hook but Rubble avoids it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Rubble looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Columbar keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Rubble tries to clinch up but Columbar circles away and keeps his distance. Rubble wants to clinch. Columbar keeps the fight on the outside. Rubble tries to clinch up. Columbar feints and then cracks Rubble's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rubble down. Rubble tries to close the distance and clinch up but Columbar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Columbar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rubble moves in looking to clinch but Columbar pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Columbar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Columbar is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rubble blocking the ground and pound attempt from Columbar. Columbar winds up and cracks Rubble with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Columbar moves into full mount! Rubble won't be happy about that! Rubble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Columbar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Columbar is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rubble has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rubble! Rubble looking to sit in guard and control but Columbar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Columbar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Columbar's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Columbar trying to control but Rubble is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Columbar's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rubble utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rubble looking for a sweep. Not yet Rubble, not yet. Rubble preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Columbar dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rubble tries to close the distance and clinch but Columbar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barney Rubble is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Rubble tries to clinch there but Columbar circles away.
Rubble takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rubble fails in his attempt to clinch. Columbar lands with a kick to the temple. Rubble shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Barney Rubble has been cut. Columbar throws a head kick but Rubble moves out of range.
Columbar keeps the fight on the outside. Rubble looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Columbar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Rubble tries to clinch up but Columbar circles away and keeps his distance. A nice leg kick lands there from Columbar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Columbar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rubble doesn't manage to clinch there - Columbar circles away.
Columbar swats away the attempt to clinch by Rubble. Rubble tries to close the distance and clinch up but Columbar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rubble tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Columbar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rubble tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Columbar feints and then cracks Rubble's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rubble down. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Columbar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rubble is trying to defend but Columbar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rubble avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Columbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubble keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Columbar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Columbar wants to advance to full mount but Rubble doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Columbar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Columbar with a nice head shot there. Columbar trying to control but Rubble is working from the bottom. Columbar throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Columbar throwing strikes from guard but Rubble blocks nicely. Columbar throws a big right hand that misses. Rubble will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rubble lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Columbar! Rubble prevents Columbar from getting the reversal. Columbar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Columbar regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Columbar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rubble is working away from the top position though. Columbar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rubble is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Columbar gets full guard. Columbar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Columbar trying to control the position.
Columbar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rubble tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Columbar dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Barney Rubble's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Columbar swats away the attempt to clinch by Rubble. Columbar throws a sloppy head kick and Rubble moves out of range easily. Rubble is looking to clinch. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Rubble fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rubble defending well as Columbar loads up on a big left hand. Rubble tries to clinch up but Columbar circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rubble wants to clinch up but Columbar keeps it at a distance. Columbar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Columbar throwing strikes but missing. Rubble keeping full guard, as Columbar tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Columbar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rubble can't keep his opponent in guard - Columbar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Columbar is pressing down on Rubble's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rubble is holding on for now. Columbar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rubble trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Columbar passes to side control. Rubble is trying to buck Columbar off. Columbar lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Columbar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rubble, who protects the arm well. Jan Columbar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Columbar is looking to take a break and control but Rubble is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rubble takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubble is not content to let Columbar control the position. Columbar looks up at the clock and then as Rubble takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Columbar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Columbar passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rubble! Rubble is in a horrible position here. Columbar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Columbar unloads with some shots from mount but Rubble bucks and avoids them well.
Columbar lands a heavy elbow. Barney Rubble has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rubble is bucking up trying to escape but Columbar cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rubble is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Columbar working away from the top, dropping strikes. Columbar cracks Rubble with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Columbar lands a big elbow. Rubble tries to buck Columbar off but he can't manage it. Columbar controlling from the full mount. Columbar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rubble can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Columbar with shots to the head and body - Rubble looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that's the end of the fight! Jan Columbar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Columbar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
