Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blackie Kilmister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Kilmister has chosen W.A.S.P. - Tormentor as his entrance music. Kale Cruz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilmister wants to clinch up but Cruz keeps it at a distance.
Kilmister is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kilmister tries to bum rush Cruz with a series of wild strikes but Cruz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cruz waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Kilmister. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Kilmister to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Cruz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kilmister can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kilmister swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kilmister controls Cruz momentarily but Cruz frees himself.
Kilmister seems to have recovered his senses.

Cruz has gone for a leg lock! Kilmister slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cruz's guard.

Cruz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kilmister must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
