Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pedricio Warum!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warum fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Warum persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jackson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Warum jumps into side control!
Warum moves into full mount!
Warum goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jackson is on top in guard.
Warum is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Jackson tries to stand but Warum is controlling from the bottom.
Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Warum is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Warum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.
Warum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jackson gets to his feet. Warum looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Peter Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson connects with a crisp jab.
Warum tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.
Jackson lands a left and a right that send Warum crashing to the mat, dazed. Jackson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Pedricio Warum has been cut.
Warum looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Warum tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson connects with a stiff jab that staggers Warum - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Peter Jackson!
