Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corn Flakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raido Roomets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roomets has chosen Raistlin and the Rose as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Corn Flakes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raido Roomets! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flakes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice combination there by Flakes.
Flakes misses with a double jab.
No luck for Roomets with that takedown attempt. Flakes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Flakes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roomets but Roomets pushes him off and we're back to square one. Some wild striking there from Flakes.
Flakes tries to clinch up. Roomets looks to clinch and Flakes counters with a right hand to the body. Roomets tries for a takedown but Flakes circles away easily and Flakes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flakes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Roomets with a lazy takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Corn Flakes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raido Roomets. Roomets looks gassed! Roomets with a poor takedown and Flakes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roomets's guard. Roomets keeping moving, preventing Flakes from controlling successfully. Roomets has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Flakes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Roomets. Flakes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roomets keeps working. Flakes landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flakes decides to stand back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Flakes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Roomets gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Flakes counters with a thumping low kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Flakes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Flakes ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Flakes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Roomets swivels and escapes. Roomets takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roomets on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Flakes. Flakes obviously looking to wear him down.
Roomets tries to keep at a distance but Flakes has taken the fight into the clinch. Flakes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Roomets just stands there and leans against the cage. Flakes manages to break the clinch.
Flakes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Roomets pushes Flakes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Flakes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Flakes working the ground and pound. Flakes slows the pace down. Flakes advances to full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flakes wants to control the pace but Roomets is squirming around nicely. Roomets is looking to get to half guard. Flakes wants to control the pace but Roomets is squirming around nicely. Roomets wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Flakes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roomets wants to hold on but Flakes pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corn Flakes dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Roomets looks to clinch and Flakes counters with a nice leg kick. Roomets shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flakes as he jumps to the side. Roomets looks to clinch and Flakes counters with a stiff right hand. Roomets will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Raido Roomets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roomets tries to clinch up and Flakes makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Roomets really felt that one! Flakes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Roomets backs up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Flakes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Corn Flakes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Roomets misses with a takedown and Flakes counters with a good low kick that Roomets was not able to check. Corn Flakes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raido Roomets. Flakes misses with a two punch combination.
Flakes looks to land a combination but Roomets avoids it well. A combination from Flakes does no damage. Roomets throws a low kick, looking for Flakes's leg but Flakes calmly moves out of range. Roomets closes the distance but Flakes moves to the side and Flakes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Flakes. Roomets fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Flakes lands a damaging elbow. Flakes has Roomets pressed against the cage, preventing Roomets from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Roomets managing to block the knees to the body from Flakes.

Roomets pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roomets tries for a takedown but Flakes circles away easily and Roomets takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Flakes looks to land a combination but Roomets avoids it well. Roomets closes the distance but Flakes moves to the side and Flakes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Roomets takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Flakes looks to land a combination but Roomets avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flakes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Roomets is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Flakes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Roomets is trying to stand up here but Flakes is controlling him well. Roomets is looking to control Flakes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Roomets avoid being mounted? Roomets pushes Flakes off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Flakes misses. Flakes closes the distance and clinches up with Roomets, looking for a takedown. Flakes pushes Roomets against the cage but Roomets circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Roomets shoots in for a takedown but Flakes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Flakes blocks a head kick by Roomets.
Roomets fails with a takedown attempt. Roomets tries to clinch but fails miserably and Flakes counters with a three punch combo that has Roomets backing up. Roomets nods at Flakes to acknowledge the strikes. Roomets gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Flakes counters with a left and a right that stings Roomets. Roomets tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corn Flakes dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Flakes throws a series of punches but Roomets moves out of range. Roomets has his takedown stuffed and Flakes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Roomets's guard now. Roomets trying to strike off his back.
Flakes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roomets swivels though and keeps the full guard. Flakes prevents Roomets from getting back to his feet. Flakes stays in close to Roomets's body and controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roomets is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flakes postures up.
Roomets lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flakes! Roomets content just to control the position here. Flakes is squirming around, avoiding Roomets's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Flakes is trying to stand. Flakes is in a horrible position here. Roomets smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Flakes wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roomets with a couple of short strikes. Roomets controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roomets raining down shots from the mount! Corn Flakes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Roomets trying to control but he's not successful this time. Raido Roomets has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Corn Flakes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flakes wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Roomets.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corn Flakes. Well Flakes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
