Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Nafred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Shklyarevskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Nafred! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Shklyarevskiy! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shklyarevskiy tries to clinch up. Nafred scores with a spinning back kick! Nafred shoots in for a takedown but Shklyarevskiy shows good takedown defense. Shklyarevskiy lands with a kick to the ribs.
Matt Nafred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Shklyarevskiy, right into the meat.
Nafred changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shklyarevskiy tries to avoid it but Nafred manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shklyarevskiy to the ground. Shklyarevskiy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nafred darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nafred is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shklyarevskiy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nafred. Shklyarevskiy pushes Nafred off looking to stand but Nafred dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nafred is looking to advance position but Shklyarevskiy won't allow it. Shklyarevskiy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nafred. Shklyarevskiy is looking for a sweep. Nafred is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shklyarevskiy wants to control the action here but instead Nafred manages to pass to full mount! Shklyarevskiy gets back to half guard. Shklyarevskiy wants to control but Nafred passes into side.
Nafred stands up and we're back to a striking position. Shklyarevskiy looks gassed! Nafred pushes Shklyarevskiy up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shklyarevskiy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nafred walks away with a smile on his face. Shklyarevskiy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nafred feints and as Shklyarevskiy raises his hands in defense, Nafred changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Shklyarevskiy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nafred doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nafred manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Shklyarevskiy keeping full guard, as Nafred tries to pass. Nafred postures up in Shklyarevskiy's guard and throws a big left but Shklyarevskiy blocks it. Nafred stands up and waves to Shklyarevskiy to follow him. Shklyarevskiy stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Nafred. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nafred avoids the head kick by Shklyarevskiy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Nafred looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shklyarevskiy looks to clinch and Nafred counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nafred decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Nafred shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shklyarevskiy defends it nicely. Shklyarevskiy with a lazy takedown attempt and Nafred counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shklyarevskiy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nafred! Nafred tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shklyarevskiy scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Shklyarevskiy landing shots from mount. Nafred tries to hold on but Shklyarevskiy pushes him away. Nafred keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nafred is just holding on here. Shklyarevskiy manages to take his back.
Nafred is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Nafred dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Shklyarevskiy tries to clinch up but Nafred circles away and keeps his distance. Nafred shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nafred in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Shklyarevskiy tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Nafred!
