Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.

Slutskaya tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Slutskaya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Johnson tries to clinch up but Slutskaya circles away and keeps his distance.
Slutskaya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Slutskaya throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Slutskaya is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Slutskaya to get the leverage.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
