Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boy comes to the cage accompanied by Those Dancin Days - Run Run. The crowd seem to be enjoying Shears's choice of entrance music: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sonny Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Shears! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shears ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Shears keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boy tests Shears's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shears stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Boy. Sonny Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shears misses with a wild body shot. Boy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Boy lands with a slapping head kick. Boy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shears closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shears lands in his opponent's guard. Shears stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shears trying to control but Boy is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy trying to control the position.
Shears pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boy is keeping the position for now. Boy controls Shears momentarily but Shears frees himself. Boy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shears defends it easily. Shears throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Boy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shears ducks right into an uppercut from Boy. Boy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shears doesn't seem bothered though. Boy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boy misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Shears counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boy connects with a right hand. Shears shakes it off. Shears is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boy moves away. Boy throws a hook but Shears avoids it easily. Boy avoids the body shot from Shears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy cracks Shears with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sonny Boy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boy misses with a straight right. Shears gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Boy, right into the meat.
A swing and a miss from Shears. Boy lands a jab-cross combination. Shears keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Boy. Boy throws a shot to the body.
Boy looks to throw the jab but Shears is out of range. Shears stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Boy. Boy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boy misses with a straight left. Boy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Shears's hands. Shears throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shears misses with a hook. Boy ducked under it nicely. Boy connects with a looping right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boy throws a head kick that half lands.
Boy scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Shears looks gassed! Boy connects with a nice looking jab.
Boy slips under a jab. Boy tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Boy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shears has time to react. Shears uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boy. Shears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boy moves away. Boy scores with a nice right hand.
Boy connects with a single shot there. Boy throws a leg kick that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Shears on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Boy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Boy jabs Shears right on the nose. Shears blinks but takes it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sonny Boy dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shears slips under a jab from Boy. Boy needs to keep his hands up - Shears had a free shot at his head there. Boy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Boy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A shot to the body from Boy misses and Shears counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boy! Boy wants to get back to his feet.
Boy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Shears. Shears fails to take his opponent's back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shears moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Boy has worked his arm free - good work by Boy!
Shears is breathing heavily. Shears tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Boy is trying to buck Shears off. Shears looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Boy is avoiding damage well.
Shears wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boy, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Boy struggling a bit here. Shears throws an elbow but Boy slips to the side and avoids it well. Shears goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shears but great work by Boy. Shears gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Boy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shears knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shears looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Boy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Shears is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boy's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shears tightening his grip on Boy, looking for the choke. Shears is hanging on to Boy's back as he tries to escape.
Boy trying to control the hands but Shears breaks the grip. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Boy has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Shears. Shears has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Boy has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Shears showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Boy lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Boy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Boy lands with a shot to the body. Shears throws the left hand but Boy avoids the punch easily. Shears misses with a jab to the body
and Boy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A nice leg kick lands there from Boy. Boy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boy getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Shears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boy moves away. Boy jabs Shears right on the nose. Shears blinks but takes it well. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Boy.
Boy pushes Shears away with a front kick. Shears takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boy throws a leg kick which misses Shears's front leg but catches the back leg as Shears tries to avoid it. Sonny Boy is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. A good leg kick by Boy. Shears tries to move into range but Boy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Shears misses with a body shot.
Boy's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Boy duly obliges. Boy throws a looping overhand right but Shears ducks down to avoid it. Boy misses with an uppercut. Shears saw that one coming. Shears gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Boy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shears at a distance.
Shears staying out of range there. Shears bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice uppercut lands for Boy. That snapped Shears's head back.
A jab from Boy does it's job there. Left hook, right uppercut from Boy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shears moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Boy lands with a shot to the body. A big right from Shears misses. Boy moves into range and connects with a jab. Boy's corner calls for a 1-2. Boy obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Boy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A chopping leg kick lands by Boy. Boy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Boy dips to his left and cracks Shears with an uppercut! Boy looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Boy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shears's head. Shears's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Shears takes one on the button. Boy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Boy connects with the punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from Boy both land. Nice combination. Boy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Boy scores with a nice head shot. Shears takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Boy lands with a slapping head kick. Shears misses the body punch letting Boy counter with a right hand. Shears tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Boy lands a nice shot that snaps Shears's head back.
Boy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Shears is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boy. Shears on the wrong end of a nice jab. Boy tries a head kick but it misses.
Boy goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Shears moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shears uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boy. Boy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shears staying out of range there. Boy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Boy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shears.
Shears scores with a sloppy right hand. Boy should have avoided that one. Boy scores with a one two! Shears had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shears checks a leg kick. Shears has a takedown stuffed. Boy throws a front kick that sends Shears stumbling back into the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shears. A jab from Boy finds it's way through Shears's defenses.
And that's the end of the fight! Sonny Boy showed his dominance in that final round. I think Boy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
