Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ike Riddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ike Riddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gerald Wilson! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A left and a right from Wilson both land. Nice combination. Riddell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Decent striking displayed by Wilson there. Riddell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wilson.
Wilson connects with the punch. Wilson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wilson throws a series of punches but Riddell moves out of range. Riddell ducks right into an uppercut from Wilson. A cross from Wilson lands. Riddell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilson tries to avoid it but Riddell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilson to the ground. Wilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Some wild striking there from Wilson.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A head kick lands from Riddell that sends Wilson to the canvas. Wilson tries to scramble back to his feet but Riddell brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Gerald Wilson has been cut. Riddell taking a breather here. Riddell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilson keeps working. Wilson looking for a sweep but Riddell has passed into full mount! Oh no!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riddell lands a heavy elbow. Wilson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Riddell.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Riddell throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Riddell trying to control but Wilson is having none of it. Riddell is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wilson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wilson! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riddell throws a strike but Wilson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Riddell working a defensive guard but Wilson manages to pass into side control anyway.

so Riddell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Riddell stops Wilson from standing up. Riddell wants to stand but Wilson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Riddell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wilson for as long as he can get away with. Wilson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wilson looks to land a combination. Riddell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Wilson connects with a jab. Riddell has Wilson up against the cage in a clinch.
Riddell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gerald Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Riddell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Riddell wants to clinch. Riddell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wilson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Riddell throws a head kick that misses. Wilson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wilson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wilson darts in trying to clinch and Riddell counters with a head kick. That will keep Wilson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Riddell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wilson blocks it with crossed arms. Wilson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Riddell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Riddell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wilson tries to kick Riddell off but Riddell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gerald Wilson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Riddell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Riddell trying to control but Wilson is having none of it. Riddell controlling his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Ike Riddell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Riddell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
