Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manolo do Jiu Jitsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Dorea! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorea shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jiu Jitsu defends it nicely. The fight stays on the outside here - Dorea looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jiu Jitsu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jiu Jitsu wants it to stay on the feet. Jiu Jitsu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jiu Jitsu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jiu Jitsu wants to control from the top but Dorea keeps moving. Dorea had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jiu Jitsu defends it easily. Jiu Jitsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Dorea is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dorea pushes Jiu Jitsu off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorea is looking to clinch. Jiu Jitsu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dorea but Dorea pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dorea fails with the takedown and Jiu Jitsu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Manolo do Jiu Jitsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Dorea. Dorea looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jiu Jitsu wants to control but Dorea is keeping him busy. Jiu Jitsu seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dorea is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
