Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Taktarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No Love. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Taktarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taktarov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ramirez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ramirez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Taktarov's best efforts. Ramirez is looking to control Taktarov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ramirez avoid being mounted? Ramirez is holding on to half guard well. Taktarov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ramirez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Taktarov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ramirez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taktarov is working away from the top position though. Ramirez is in trouble now - Taktarov has advanced to mount! Ramirez is looking to get to half guard. Ramirez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taktarov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Taktarov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ramirez defending well though. Ramirez tries to kick Taktarov off but Taktarov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ramirez is looking to improve his position.
Taktarov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ramirez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Taktarov. Taktarov is trying to control the action in half guard but Ramirez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Taktarov scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ramirez looking for submissions off his back. Taktarov blocks the strikes from Ramirez.
Ramirez wants to get back to full guard. Ramirez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Taktarov. Taktarov lands strikes from half guard. Taktarov lands with a punch from half guard. Ramirez wants to get back to full guard. Ramirez looks gassed! Ramirez has hold of Taktarov's hands but Taktarov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taktarov is looking for a kimura but Ramirez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taktarov to get the leverage. Ramirez trying to hold on to Taktarov's head to control him but Taktarov postures up.
Ramirez tries to roll over but Taktarov keeps him under control. Ramirez manages to get to full guard.
Taktarov pushes down on Ramirez's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ramirez trying to control here.
Ramirez won't allow Taktarov to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ramirez is trying to stand.
Ramirez is trying to get back to full guard. Taktarov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Taktarov looking for a guillotine from mount but Ramirez is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Taktarov. Taktarov is in the full mount, landing strikes. Taktarov prevents Ramirez from getting the reversal. Taktarov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ramirez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ramirez shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg Taktarov dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Taktarov throws a good cross that connects.
Taktarov feints and as Ramirez raises his hands in defense, Taktarov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ramirez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ramirez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taktarov's guard. Taktarov is trying to keep Ramirez in close.
Ramirez lands a couple of digs. Taktarov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramirez passes Taktarov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ramirez is keen to just control but Taktarov is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taktarov moves into full guard.
Taktarov keeping moving, preventing Ramirez from controlling successfully. Ramirez postures up.
Taktarov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Taktarov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ramirez defends it easily. Ramirez trying to control the position from guard on top but Taktarov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ramirez gets to his feet. Taktarov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Taktarov throws a series of strikes that have Ramirez backpedaling.
Ramirez with a lazy takedown attempt and Taktarov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ramirez pushes Taktarov up against the cage in a clinch. Ramirez is pressed up against the cage. Taktarov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ramirez down to the mat. Ramirez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ramirez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ramirez wants to clinch but Taktarov slips to the side and Taktarov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ramirez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taktarov is trying to defend but Ramirez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ramirez decides to stand and escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taktarov's waist but Taktarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramirez off to one side. Ramirez moves out of range of the body kick from Taktarov.
Ramirez closes the distance and clinches. Taktarov is trying to break the clinch but Ramirez has him pressed against the cage. Ramirez breaks from the clinch.
Left hook, right uppercut from Taktarov. Ramirez moves in looking to clinch but Taktarov pushes him off. Taktarov works over Ramirez's head and body with a nice combination. Oleg Taktarov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taktarov misses with a body kick. Taktarov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Taktarov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ramirez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taktarov throws the kick towards the body but Ramirez avoids it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Taktarov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ramirez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Taktarov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ramirez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Ramirez stands up out of the half guard. Ramirez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taktarov avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Ramirez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Ramirez doesn't succeed with the takedown so Taktarov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Taktarov looking to sit in guard and control but Ramirez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ramirez won't allow Taktarov to sweep him here. Ramirez tries to stand but Taktarov is controlling from the bottom. Taktarov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Ramirez frees his head nicely. Oh but Taktarov has switched to an armbar! Ramirez is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
