Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Carlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yevgeni Ratchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yevgeni Ratchenko is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacques Carlo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yevgeni Ratchenko!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlo lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Yevgeni Ratchenko has been cut.
Carlo doesn't manage to clinch there - Ratchenko circles away.
Ratchenko steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Carlo. That one must have hurt.
Ratchenko looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch combination from Carlo misses.
Carlo feints and then cracks Ratchenko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ratchenko down.

Carlo closes the distance and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Carlo decides to pull guard.
Carlo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Carlo wants to sweep but no luck.
Carlo is looking to stand up but Ratchenko isn't so interested in that idea.
Ratchenko wants to control from the top but Carlo keeps moving.

Carlo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ratchenko is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Carlo lands a jab to the nose.

Carlo has managed to clinch.

Carlo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Carlo tightens his grip and picks Ratchenko up, before dumping him to the ground. Ratchenko manages to land in guard.
Carlo is looking to work some ground and pound but Ratchenko has wrist control.

Ratchenko controls Carlo momentarily but Carlo frees himself.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carlo lands a nice short elbow.

Carlo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ratchenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ratchenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carlo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Carlo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Carlo winds up and cracks Ratchenko with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Carlo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ratchenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ratchenko manages to get to full guard.
Carlo is fighting to break Ratchenko's control of his arms but Ratchenko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Ratchenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Carlo wants to sweep but no luck.
Carlo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Carlo tries to clinch but Ratchenko moves out of range.
Carlo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ratchenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ratchenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carlo's guard.

Ratchenko is looking to stall here but Carlo recovers full guard.
Carlo wants to stand but Ratchenko is controlling the position.

Ratchenko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carlo wants to get back to his feet but Ratchenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carlo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ratchenko is looking to land body kicks.

Carlo closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Carlo wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yevgeni Ratchenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Carlo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ratchenko. That did some damage!

and Ratchenko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carlo!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ratchenko throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Carlo is working to get back to half guard.

Ratchenko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Carlo is surviving well by controlling Ratchenko's body position as best he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Carlo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carlo tries to get out of the position.

Ratchenko has hold of Carlo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Carlo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ratchenko is landing with some decent strikes but Carlo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carlo swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Carlo is squirming around, avoiding Ratchenko's attempts to control the action.
Carlo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Yevgeni Ratchenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ratchenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
