Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rogerio Rodrigo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Russel Bell! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell moves out of range of the strikes. Rodrigo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Horrible takedown by Bell or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodrigo which made him look bad. Bell on the wrong end of a nice jab. Rodrigo takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bell slips under a jab. Bell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bell trying to control the action but Rodrigo is working from the bottom. Bell moves into full mount! Rodrigo won't be happy about that! Bell controlling from mount. Bell goes for an armbar but Rodrigo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rodrigo. Rodrigo is in close to Bell's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodrigo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bell is keeping the position for now. Bell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rodrigo postures up.
Rodrigo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rodrigo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rodrigo advances to half guard. Rodrigo slips a nice elbow through Bell's hands, connecting with Bell's forehead. Rodrigo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rodrigo lands with a punch from half guard. Rodrigo is trying for a kimura here. Bell looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Rodrigo wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rogerio Rodrigo!
