Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Artem Blinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Crostly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Blinov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcus Crostly! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crostly misses with a body shot.
Blinov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Crostly but Crostly pushes him off and we're back to square one. Crostly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blinov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blinov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crostly crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blinov - the referee stops the clock and Crostly gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blinov. Crostly manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Crostly tries to close the distance and clinch but Blinov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Crostly misses with a takedown attempt - Blinov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Crostly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blinov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Blinov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Blinov misses with a series of wild punches.
Crostly fails to land the takedown. Crostly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blinov. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artem Blinov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blinov takes the fight into the clinch. Crostly ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Crostly no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blinov stays in close to Crostly's body and controls the position. Blinov trying to control but Crostly is working from the bottom. Blinov wants to stand but Crostly is controlling his posture from full guard. Crostly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blinov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Crostly looks gassed! Blinov throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blinov's corner is telling him to maintain position. Crostly is trying to control the position but Blinov postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Crostly throws a head kick that misses. Crostly misses with a wild body shot. Crostly misses with a takedown attempt - Blinov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Blinov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Blinov scores with a leg kick.
Crostly takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blinov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Crostly taking a bit of punishment here - Blinov scoring with strikes. Blinov stands up. Blinov throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Crostly tries to keep at a distance but Blinov has taken the fight into the clinch. Crostly goes for a takedown in the clinch but Blinov prevents it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Blinov has clasped his hands together around Crostly's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Blinov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crostly down.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crostly is working to avoid the ground and pound but Blinov connects with a decent elbow. Blinov working away. Blinov working the body and head with strikes. Crostly fails in his attempt to clinch. Blinov tries for a takedown but Crostly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Blinov misses with a takedown and Crostly counters with a left and a right that stings Blinov. The fight stays on the outside here - Blinov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blinov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Crostly has time to react. Crostly shoots and misses and Blinov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crostly's guard. Blinov scoring with punches to the head and body. Blinov content to stall in guard here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blinov stands up and waves to Crostly to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crostly is defended easily by Blinov. Blinov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Blinov lands a nice leg kick that just misses Crostly's sensitive parts. Crostly tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blinov. Blinov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Blinov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crostly.

Crostly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blinov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crostly has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Blinov misses with a takedown and Crostly counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crostly is looking to work some ground and pound but Blinov has wrist control. Blinov wriggles free and stands up. Crostly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blinov was well out of range. Poor timing from Crostly. Crostly takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Crostly throws a head kick that misses and Blinov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Blinov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Crostly keeping moving, preventing Blinov from controlling successfully. Crostly striking off his back but it's not causing Blinov any problems. Blinov gets to his feet - Crostly follows without any prompting. Blinov throws a head kick that half lands.
Crostly throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Crostly gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Blinov counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Crostly scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Blinov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crostly keeps the fight on the outside. Crostly instigates a clinch. Crostly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Blinov pulls guard successfully.

Artem Blinov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Crostly trying to control the position from guard on top but Blinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blinov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crostly! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's got his arms around Blinov's waist but Blinov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crostly off to one side. Marcus Crostly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blinov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Blinov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crostly sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Artem Blinov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Blinov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
