Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Garciaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Kid told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garciaz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Jose Garciaz has been cut.
Kid pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Garciaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garciaz is just riding it out for now. Kid eventually gives up the hold.
Kid is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Garciaz sees it coming and defends easily.

Kid is looking to advance position but Garciaz won't allow it.
Kid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Garciaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kid.
Kid is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Garciaz has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kid has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Garciaz defend it? Kid steps over the head and cranks it - Garciaz is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kid!
