Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Up Lok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Up Lok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus North! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lok closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lok lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lok looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lok stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. North swivels though and keeps the full guard. North wants to stand up but Lok is controlling him. North is controlling Lok's posture. North is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lok is controlling him. North controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. North is trying to control the position from the bottom.
North wants to stand but Lok is controlling the position. Lok trying to control the position from guard on top but North is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. North tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. North lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
North throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lok shoots for a takedown but North saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lok avoids the head kick by North.

North goes for a high kick. It partially lands. North tries a head kick but it misses.

North fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lok looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. North lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
North misses with a wild combination.
North fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lok on the side of the head. Marcus North is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. North lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lok takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lok tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. North throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lok's head. North tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A slapping leg kick lands for North.
North throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lok stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. North throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lok. A shot to the liver by North. Beautiful body shot. North tries a head kick but it misses.

North throws out a powerful jab. North connects with a high kick. North throws a head kick but Lok moves out of range.
Crunch! North slams his shin into Lok's torso. North looks to land a combination but Lok avoids it well. Lok really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lok on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. North misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lok takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. North lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lok at a distance.
Lok moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. North throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lok misses with a body shot.
North scores with a nice strike. North tries a head kick but it misses.
North feints and then cracks Lok's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lok down. North tries to bum rush Lok with a series of wild strikes but Lok uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lok takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

North throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marcus North seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. North lands a high kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus North dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
North lands a nice looking body kick. Lok is looking to clinch but North is avoiding it.

North dips to his left and cracks Lok with an uppercut! No luck for Lok with that takedown attempt. A head kick misses from North. North throws a head kick that Lok semi-blocks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. North connects with a high kick. North slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. North swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

An inside leg kick lands from North. Lok tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lok takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

North lands with an overhand left. A nice leg kick lands there from North. North loads up on a big right hand but Lok slips the punch. North lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Lok takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. North swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lok. North keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lok tries to close the distance and clinch but North swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. North misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lok crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from North - the referee stops the clock and Lok gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says North. Lok manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lok shoots in for a double leg but North sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Up Lok. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice inside leg kick there by Lok. That's going to slow North down. Lok walks into a stiff left hand from North. North scores with a nice right hand.
Up Lok is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. North scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lok doesn't seem bothered though. The fight stays on the outside here - Lok looks like he's thinking about clinching though. North scores with a head kick.

Marcus North showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. North thumps Lok with a low kick. Lok is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. North turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. North throws a head kick that Lok semi-blocks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. North throws a sloppy head kick and Lok moves out of range easily. Lok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. North is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. North is trying to stand up. North wants to control but Lok is having none of it. Lok looking to control but North is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lok controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lok trying to control but he's not successful this time. North tries to hold on but Lok pushes him away. Lok tries to control but North wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. North is in all sorts of trouble here.

Marcus North is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. North is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Lok is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but North is surviving well by controlling Lok's body position as best he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lok throws some wild stikes that North manages to avoid easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus North comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got North winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
