The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Meyer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Meyer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Meyer. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Meyer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jaminson some visible discomfort.

Meyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Meyer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jaminson for as long as he can get away with.

Meyer uses his free foot to push down on Jaminson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jaminson.
