Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis swats away the attempt to clinch by Pearson.

Davis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pearson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pearson is looking to stand up but Davis isn't so interested in that idea.

Pearson can't keep his opponent in guard - Davis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Davis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pearson sees it coming and defends easily.

Davis is looking for a kimura but Pearson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage.

Pearson misses with a takedown

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pearson won't be happy with that.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pearson throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily.

Davis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pearson!

Pearson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Davis locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Pearson is forced to tap!
