Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiyoshi Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rice Pilaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kiyoshi Tamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rice Pilaf!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilaf lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Pilaf scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Pilaf avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tamura shoots in for a double leg but Pilaf sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pilaf misses with a two punch combination.
Tamura looks to land a combination but Pilaf avoids it well.

Pilaf shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tamura regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pilaf.
Pilaf cracks Tamura with a solid left hand.

Pilaf stands up and beckons Tamura to his feet.
Pilaf goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Tamura moves into the clinch.
Tamura has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pilaf is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Tamura ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tamura no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Tamura could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Pilaf has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tamura is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tamura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pilaf gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tamura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tamura has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Pilaf has passed into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tamura is trying to escape the position but Pilaf is controlling the position.
Tamura is looking for a sweep.
Pilaf throws an elbow but Tamura slips to the side and avoids it well.
Tamura is looking to regain half guard here but Pilaf keeps moving and retains side control.
Tamura is trying to control Pilaf's posture but Pilaf avoids it.

Pilaf decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tamura goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rice Pilaf dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tamura misses with a takedown attempt - Pilaf sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tamura looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pilaf throws a right hand that Tamura ducks under and follows up with a left that Tamura also avoids with ease.
Tamura doesn't manage to clinch there - Pilaf circles away.
Kiyoshi Tamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tamura tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pilaf swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pilaf throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tamura.
Tamura walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tamura doesn't manage to clinch there - Pilaf circles away.

Tamura has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pilaf looks to land a combination. Tamura sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Tamura fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pilaf, pushing him back against the cage.
Pilaf wants to get back to striking at distance but Tamura won't allow it.

and Pilaf counters with a one-two to the body.

Pilaf misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tamura moves into range and clinches up with Pilaf.

Pilaf manages to pull guard.
Pilaf is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tamura is controlling him.
Pilaf seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Pilaf tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pilaf thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Pilaf wants to sweep here but Tamura controlling him for the moment.

Pilaf wants to stand and escape but Tamura is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rice Pilaf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pilaf is trying to break free.
Pilaf wants to break free but Tamura has control.
Pilaf is trying to maintain a safe position but Tamura gets an underhook and turns Pilaf into the cage.
Pilaf wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tamura keeps control of Pilaf as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tamura jumps guard but Pilaf stands there with Tamura around his waist. Tamura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pilaf is pressed up against the cage. Tamura has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pilaf down to the mat. Pilaf avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Pilaf counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Donk. Pilaf catches Tamura right on the button with a cross.

Pilaf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tamura is trying to maintain the position but Pilaf is very close to passing his half guard.

Pilaf's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pilaf duly obliges.
Pilaf shoots in and drives through. Tamura sprawls well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Pilaf counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pilaf.

Pilaf is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pilaf is trying to stand up here but Tamura is controlling him well.

Pilaf works his way to full guard. Good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tamura won't allow Pilaf to get back to his feet.
Pilaf wants to control but Tamura passes easily into half guard.
Tamura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pilaf keeps working.
Pilaf gets full guard.
Pilaf is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pilaf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tamura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pilaf is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Rice Pilaf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pilaf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
