Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crane McCain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Symphony X! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! X throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. X shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McCain manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McCain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McCain has his foot on X's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. X works his way back into a safe position though. X has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. X not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. McCain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. X doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. X manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. X stays in close to McCain's body and controls the position. X wants to control from the top but McCain keeps moving. X showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. X tries to clinch up but McCain circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McCain slips a straight right by X. McCain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
X closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. X is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. McCain looks calm but he's in trouble here. X gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. McCain is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! X lets go of the hold and McCain can pop his arm back in it's socket.
