Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van der lie silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Concrete Schoolyard. Van der lie silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida misses with a body shot.
Wanderlei Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing silva off to one side.
A big head kick from Machida and silva is sent sprawling to the canvas!
It looks like Van der lie silva has been cut.
Machida trying to control but silva is working from the bottom.
Machida is pushing down on silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Machida has managed to sneak the leg through.

Machida wants to lay and pray for a moment but silva keeps working.

silva is staying active underneath Machida, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Machida sprawls well. He's pushed silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Machida is looking to take a break and control but silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Machida has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, silva has managed to get both his arms back between Machida's legs - danger averted.
Machida looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Machida's guard.
Machida regains full guard. Nicely done.

silva is squirming around, avoiding Machida's attempts to control the action.
Machida lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The cut above Van der lie silva's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Machida goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Machida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wanderlei Machida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Machida lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Van der lie silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Van der lie silva's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
