Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying House's choice of entrance music: Links 2,3,4. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
House fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saukko manages to avoid it.
House misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saukko.
Saukko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from House.
House misses with a wild body shot.
A swing and a miss from House.
The fighters circling - House throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Saukko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from House.
House slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Saukko misses with an uppercut.
House throws a shot to the body.

Saukko moves out of range as House strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
House is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saukko.
House fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saukko manages to avoid it.

Saukko gets in close and instigates a clinch.
House can't break the clinch.
House has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A right handed body shot lands from Saukko.

Saukko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

House swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Saukko feints and as House raises his hands in defense, Saukko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Saukko postures up in House's guard and throws a big left but House blocks it.
Saukko stands up over House, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Saukko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Saukko wants to control from the top but House keeps moving.
Saukko is in close to House's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Saukko works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Saukko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but House does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
House wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saukko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Saukko lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Saukko wants to pass to mount but House is defending the position.
Saukko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks House with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Saukko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saukko is trying to control. House wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Saukko works his way into full mount!
House is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Saukko working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. House looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Saukko! Submission of the night perhaps?
