1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heidan Warren! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sewell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Warren to score an easy takedown into full guard. Sewell looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Warren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sewell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sewell keeping moving, preventing Warren from controlling successfully. Warren keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sewell's head. Warren stands and throws Sewell's legs to the side, diving into side control. Warren in side control, just content to control the action for now. Warren scores with a couple of short elbows. Warren tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warren stands up and beckons Sewell to his feet. Warren shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sewell is trying to defend but Warren finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Warren has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! I looks like Warren might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Warren has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Heidan Warren showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Sewell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sewell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Warren. Warren controlling the position easily from mount. Warren has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Warren jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sewell manages to avoid the submission attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warren is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Warren passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sewell! Warren is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sewell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

BOOM! Warren connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Warren controlling the position easily from mount. Warren fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Warren looking to control and managing it successfully. Sewell takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Warren's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
