The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho tries to clinch there but Lombardi circles away.

Lombardi pushes Carvalho up against the cage in a clinch.
Lombardi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lombardi lands with a left to the head.
Lombardi stalls.

Lombardi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Carvalho tries to break free but Lombardi pushes him back against the cage.
Carvalho takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Lucas Carvalho has been cut.
Lombardi lands with a left to the head.
Carvalho takes an elbow to the temple.
Lombardi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lombardi pushes Carvalho back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Carvalho is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lombardi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Lombardi scores with a knee to the head.
Carvalho tries for a takedown but Lombardi manages to get underhooks.
Carvalho is breathing heavily.
Lombardi lands a left hand.
Lombardi gets through Carvalho's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lombardi content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Lombardi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Carvalho looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lombardi moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Carvalho goes down! Can Lombardi finish him!?

Lombardi postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Carvalho covers up, he's hurt! Lombardi keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lombardi and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lombardi can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
