Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Kilmster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Sparkler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilmster kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Maylene & The Sons of Disaster - Darkest of Kin. Sparkler is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Kilmster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ric Sparkler! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparkler rushes Kilmster and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Sparkler throws an elbow but it misses.
Sparkler lands an elbow just above Kilmster 's eye. Sparkler connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kilmster's face.

Sparkler has picked Kilmster up - he's going for a ride! Sparkler dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Sparkler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kilmster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kilmster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sparkler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kilmster keeps working. Sparkler thows a huge punch but Kilmster dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sparkler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kilmster was well out of range. Poor timing from Sparkler. Kilmster dips down and scores with a jab to the body. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kilmster content to stall in guard here. Sparkler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kilmster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kilmster trying to control the position from guard on top but Sparkler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sparkler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sparkler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kilmster postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kilmster controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sparkler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kilmster! Kilmster holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sparkler tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kilmster is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That could be painful for both fighters. Kilmster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sparkler. Kilmster lands a nice hook to Sparkler's body. Sparkler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sparkler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Donk. Kilmster catches Sparkler right on the button with a cross. Sparkler slaps away a takedown attempt from Kilmster, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kilmster is looking to wear down Sparkler with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kilmster throws out a loose jab but Sparkler uses good head movement to avoid it. Sparkler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Kilmster paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sparkler takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A shot to the body from Sparkler misses and Kilmster counters with a straight right hand. Sparkler fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sparkler doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Kilmster counter with a right hand. Kilmster catches Sparkler with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Sparkler fails with the takedown. Kilmster moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A left lands for Kilmster. Sparkler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kilmster sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kilmster lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kilmster looks to score with a jab to the body but Sparkler is just out of range. Sparkler tries to clinch up. Sparkler misses with a takedown and Kilmster counters with a nice uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kilmster stuns Sparkler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kilmster takes a swing at Sparkler's ribcage but misses. Kilmster swinging wildly here.
