Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taalasmaa circles away. Rage jabbing away but nothing is landing. Randy Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taalasmaa darts in and clinches Rage up against the ropes. Rage drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rage has picked Taalasmaa up - he's going for a ride! Rage dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taalasmaa can do anything to dispel that myth. Taalasmaa pushes Rage off looking to stand but Rage dives back in and keeps control.
Rage missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rage looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Rage is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Taalasmaa defends it well. Taalasmaa looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rage is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taalasmaa!
That's one minute gone in the round. Taalasmaa is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Rage misses with a head shot. Rage landing punches. Taalasmaa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Rage lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Taalasmaa hang on? Taalasmaa is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Rage throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Rage raining down shots from the mount! Taalasmaa is trying to stand. Taalasmaa looks gassed! Rage with a couple of short strikes. Rage landing shots from mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taalasmaa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Rage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rage content just to control the position here. Taalasmaa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taalasmaa tries to buck Rage off but he can't manage it. Rage jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Taalasmaa manages to avoid the submission attempt. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rage just content to control the position. Rage tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Rage misses with the ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Taalasmaa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Rage happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taalasmaa is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rage closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Taalasmaa to the mat! Taalasmaa manages to get full guard. Rage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rage controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taalasmaa keeping full guard, as Rage tries to pass. Taalasmaa wants to stand and escape but Rage is having none of it. Rage gets to his feet - Taalasmaa follows without any prompting. A telegraphed right hand from Taalasmaa misses the target. Taalasmaa wants to clinch. Rage throws a jab but it's blocked by Taalasmaa. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taalasmaa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Taalasmaa connects with a right hand. Rage shakes it off. Rage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Rage dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rage. Rage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taalasmaa as he jumps to the side. Rage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taalasmaa tries to avoid it but Rage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taalasmaa to the ground. Taalasmaa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taalasmaa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rage has time to react. Rage ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Taalasmaa moves out of range as Rage strikes. Rage throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taalasmaa jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Taalasmaa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Taalasmaa scores with the left hand. Rage knows he should have avoided that one. Randy Rage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taalasmaa slaps away a takedown attempt from Rage, before circling back to the center of the mat. Taalasmaa throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage throws a jab but it's blocked by Taalasmaa. Rage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taalasmaa is fending him off so far but Rage persists. Nope, Taalasmaa circles away and we're back to standing. Taalasmaa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rage. A swing and a miss from Rage. Taalasmaa goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The fight stays on the outside here - Taalasmaa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rage misses with a takedown attempt - Taalasmaa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rage has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rage there as he acknowledges the shot. Taalasmaa tries to clinch but Rage moves out of range. Taalasmaa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rage looks to score with a jab to the body but Taalasmaa is just out of range. Taalasmaa moves away from the strike by Rage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taalasmaa tries to clinch but Rage is having none of it. Taalasmaa takes the fight into the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Taalasmaa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taalasmaa just leaning against Rage, taking a breather. Taalasmaa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Rage goes for a takedown attempt but Taalasmaa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rage fails with the takedown. Taalasmaa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Taalasmaa throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rages head. Taalasmaa is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Taalasmaa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Taalasmaa wants to get back to his feet. Rage throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Taalasmaa is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rage gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rage lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Rage has managed to slip his arm under Taalasmaa's chin. This could be all over... yep, Taalasmaa is tapping out! Submission win for Rage.
