Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smit comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be Touched. Paul Smit could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rampage Penn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Smit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rampage Penn! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smit fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Penn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Paul Smit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Penn throws a series of strikes that have Smit backpedaling.
Smit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Penn wants to control but Smit postures up. Smit tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Penn manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Penn manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Smit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Penn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Penn has his foot on Smit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smit works his way back into a safe position though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Penn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smit defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smit throwing strikes from guard but Penn blocks nicely. Penn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Smit tries to free his leg and advance position but Penn is retaining full guard. Penn looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smit trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smit is sitting in close to Penn's body. Penn has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Smit is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Smit is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Penn.
