Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Man Pacman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and F U Up (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Man Pacman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, F U Up!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Up closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Up wants to stand but Pacman has his arm trapped.
Up passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pacman!
Up looking to finish with strikes here!
Pacman is trying to escape the mount.
Up lands a big elbow.
Up trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Up sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Pacman wants to hold on but Up pushes him away.
Up wants to control the pace but Pacman is squirming around nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pacman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Up has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Up punching from mount but Pacman doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Up working for a guillotine from mount but Pacman is in no mood to give up.
Pacman can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pacman is squirming around, avoiding Up's attempts to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pacman reaches up to try and control the position but Up seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Pacman rolls and tries to escape and now Up has his back!
Pacman finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Pacman holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Up tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pacman tries to reverse the position but Up maintains control.
Pacman is working hard here to advance position.
Pacman tries to lock up and control but Up gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pacman working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Up looking to land elbow strikes but Pacman uses the position to regain half guard.
Up is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Up shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pacman but Pacman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Up looks gassed!

Pacman moves into the clinch successfully.
Up letting Pacman take a breather here.
Up wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pacman has him pressed against the cage.
Pacman dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Up is trying to break the clinch but Pacman has him pressed against the cage.

Pacman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice shot by Up.

Pacman moves into the clinch successfully.
Pacman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Up.

Pacman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Up clinches but Pacman breaks the clinch
and Pacman counters with a nice kick to the body.
Up takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Up closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pacman counters with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but F U Up will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Pacman pushes Up up against the cage in a clinch.
Up takes a knee right on the jaw!
Up tries for a takedown but Pacman manages to get underhooks.
Pacman slows down the pace here.
Up's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Pacman breaks the clinch.
Pacman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Up shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pacman finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Pacman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pacman is trying to control the action in half guard but Up is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Up is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Pacman seems content to control.
Pacman trying to pass the guard but Up defending well.
Pacman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pacman is looking to advance position but Up won't allow it.
Pacman is trying to control. Up wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Pacman moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Up has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Pacman gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Up regains guard.
Up doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Pacman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Pacman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Up is keeping the position for now.
Pacman trying to control the position from guard on top but Up is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Up escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pacman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Up wants to get back to his feet but Pacman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Up looking to control but Pacman passes into half guard.
Pacman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Pacman is looking to stall here but Up recovers full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pacman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Up swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pacman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Up wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Pacman moves into the clinch successfully.

Pacman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pacman doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Up counter with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Man Pacman dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Up tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Pacman counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pacman.
Pacman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Up letting Pacman take a breather here.

Pacman pulls Up into guard.
Pacman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Up's guard.
Pacman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Pacman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Up fails with the takedown

and Pacman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Up is trying to break free.
Up fails to pull guard.

Pacman works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Pacman wants to get up but he can't break Up's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Up working a defensive guard here.

Up is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Pacman has his hands clasped together but Up extends an breaks Pacman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Up.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). F U Up!
