Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murpy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Victory. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, William O Leary! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Murpy! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Leary misses with a wild combination.
Murpy thuds a left hand into O Leary's body. O Leary fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jab, jab by Murpy - just one landing. O Leary tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murpy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Murpy misses with a body shot.
O Leary misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Murpy does no damage. O Leary misses with a jab to the body
and Murpy counters with a shoot takedown. O Leary fights it but they end up in guard. Murpy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. O Leary keeping moving, preventing Murpy from controlling successfully. Murpy's corner is telling him to maintain position. Murpy wants to pass the guard but O Leary is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murpy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! O Leary is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! O Leary has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murpy keeping moving, preventing O Leary from controlling successfully. Murpy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Murpy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. O Leary stopping the sweep attempt from Murpy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Murpy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. O Leary defends it easily. Murpy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
O Leary slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Murpy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. O Leary manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murpy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and O Leary dives on top into guard. Murpy has a closed guard, preventing O Leary from standing up. Murpy wants to sweep but no luck. Murpy looking for a guillotine here but O Leary defends easily.

Murpy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. O Leary gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Murpy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
O Leary falls off balance throwing a combination
and Murpy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in O Leary's guard now. Murpy trying to control the position from guard on top but O Leary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Leary is trying to control the position from the bottom.
O Leary keeping moving, preventing Murpy from controlling successfully. Murpy is fighting to break O Leary's control of his arms but O Leary is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Murpy wants to control from the top but O Leary keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Leary pulls Murpy in close to prevent any damage. Murpy trying to control but O Leary is working from the bottom. O Leary is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Murpy takes one to the side of the head.

and Murpy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Murpy lands with a cross. William O Leary is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A shot to the body from O Leary misses so Murpy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murpy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. O Leary is keeping the position for now. O Leary is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Murpy looking to pass the guard. Murpy drops back looking for a leg! O Leary is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Leary manages to kick Murpy off! Murpy jumps back into O Leary's guard. Murpy wants to pass the guard but O Leary is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murpy scores with a decent looking elbow strike. O Leary is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Murpy is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. O Leary keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Murpy blocks a jab. O Leary throws a right hand that Murpy ducks under and follows up with a left that Murpy also avoids with ease. O Leary throws a series of punches but Murpy moves out of range. O Leary clinches but Murpy breaks the clinch and Murpy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. O Leary misses the body punch and Murpy counters with a nice uppercut. O Leary showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Murpy.
O Leary gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. O Leary tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murpy was well out of range. Poor timing from O Leary. O Leary listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. O Leary closes the distance looking to clinch and Murpy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Murpy lands a jab to the head.
O Leary throws a combination that misses and Murpy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Murpy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Murpy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Murpy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. O Leary defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Murpy. Murpy slips under a jab. Murpy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from O Leary. Murpy throws a series of strikes that have O Leary backpedaling.
O Leary throws a nice looking combination but Murpy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. William O Leary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O Leary lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Murpy scores with a takedown into O Leary's guard. O Leary is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Murpy wants to control but O Leary is keeping busy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Leary performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Murpy is trying to maintain the position but O Leary is very close to passing his half guard. Murpy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but O Leary pulls his head out easily. Murpy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but O Leary scores with a couple of nice shots. William O Leary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. O Leary trying to control from half guard but Murpy is working away. O Leary working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Murpy is trying to get back to full guard. O Leary thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Murpy's head. Murpy gets back to full guard.
O Leary lands a couple of decent looking shots. O Leary trying to control the position from guard on top but Murpy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. O Leary darts in trying to clinch and Murpy counters with a takedown into side control. O Leary is not content to let Murpy control the position. Murpy working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Murpy controlling the position. Charlie Murpy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Murpy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Murpy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Murpy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
