Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Waldo Emerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vronsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emerson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Welcome to the TerrorDome. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ralph Waldo Emerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vronsky tries to bum rush Emerson with a series of wild strikes but Emerson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Emerson takes a swing at Vronsky's ribcage but misses.
Emerson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Vronsky swings away with a body shot that misses
and Emerson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vronsky's knee momentarily.
Emerson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vronsky.
Vronsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Emerson but Emerson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Emerson is looking to chop away at Vronsky's legs.
Ralph Waldo Emerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emerson misses with a double jab

and Vronsky counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vronsky makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Emerson has his hands on Vronsky's head, controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vronsky throws a strike but Emerson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Emerson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vronsky sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Emerson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vronsky.
Emerson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vronsky.
Emerson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Emerson. No joy for Vronsky on that attempt.
Ralph Waldo Emerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Vronsky.
Vronsky takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Emerson tries to bum rush Vronsky with a series of wild strikes but Vronsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Vronsky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Emerson.

Vronsky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Emerson misses with a hook. Vronsky ducked under it nicely.
Vronsky swings away with a body shot that misses
and Emerson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Emerson looks to land a combination but Vronsky avoids it well.
Emerson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Emerson throws a series of punches but Vronsky avoids them all with ease.
Emerson moves out of range as Vronsky strikes.
Vronsky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Emerson was well out of range. Poor timing from Vronsky.
Vronsky shoots in for a takedown but Emerson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vronsky moves out of range as Emerson strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vronsky misses with a looping right.
Emerson throws out a leg kick but Vronsky moves out of range and Emerson only half commits.
Vronsky is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Emerson rather than just go for the knockout.
Emerson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Vronsky fails with a takedown attempt.
A decent looking cross lands there for Emerson.
Emerson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vronsky sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Emerson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Emerson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Emerson slips a jab from Vronsky.
Good leg kick by Emerson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Emerson lands a jab to the nose.
Vronsky is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vronsky keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Emerson.

Emerson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ralph Waldo Emerson is winning the standup battle so far.
Emerson takes a swing at Vronsky's ribcage but misses.
Emerson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Emerson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Vronsky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vronsky throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Vronsky wants to free his trapped foot but Emerson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Emerson tries to roll over but Vronsky keeps him under control.

Emerson is looking for a sweep. Vronsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Vronsky takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Emerson lands a head shot.
Emerson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Emerson throws a hook to the side of Vronsky's head but Vronsky sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Emerson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Emerson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vronsky moves away.
Vronsky fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vronsky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Vronsky counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vronsky gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Emerson.
Emerson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Emerson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Emerson looks to land a left hand but Vronsky moved out of range nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vronsky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Emerson.
Emerson lands a nice hook to Vronsky's body. Vronsky takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Emerson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
