Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damon comes to the cage accompanied by Dies Irae. Swain is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lunatic Fringe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Damon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Swain shoots in looking for a takedown. Damon tries to sprawl out of it but Swain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Damon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Swain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Damon has escaped the position, nice work there.
Damon is looking to regain half guard here but Swain keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Swain off and has taken his back!

Swain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Damon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Swain connects with a nice short shot to Damon's temple.

Damon clobbers Swain with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ron Damon.
