Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesco White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Smoke the Fire. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jesco White enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Shlemenko ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesco White! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shlemenko stuffs the takedown attempt from White. White gets slowly back to his feet. Shlemenko gets a takedown into half guard. Shlemenko lands strikes from half guard. White tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Shlemenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. White wants to get back to full guard. Shlemenko looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. White gets back to full guard.
White is trying to keep Shlemenko in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shlemenko sitting in guard here, content to control. White is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shlemenko wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position. Shlemenko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shlemenko wants to control from the top but White keeps moving. Shlemenko stopping the sweep attempt from White. Shlemenko trying to control but White is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Shlemenko drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shlemenko trying to control but White is working from the bottom. White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shlemenko . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shlemenko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. White tries to pull guard but Shlemenko holds him up against the cage and eventually White drops back down to his feet.

White has picked Shlemenko up - he's going for a ride! White dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. White stalling away here and it's allowed Shlemenko to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. White looking to sit in guard and control but Shlemenko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shlemenko working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shlemenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with White, pushing him back against the cage. White drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shlemenko pulls his leg out and moves away.
White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shlemenko . White has his takedown stuffed and Shlemenko counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White is not content to let Shlemenko control the position. White is looking to regain half guard here but Shlemenko keeps moving and retains side control. Shlemenko stands up and we're back to a striking position. White is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shlemenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches White napping and manages to drive through into side control! White wants to control but Shlemenko postures up. White tries to buck Shlemenko off but Shlemenko is having none of it. White is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Shlemenko is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Shlemenko scoring with strikes but White is staying in there. White is looking to get to half guard. Shlemenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. White tries to lock up and control but Shlemenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as White is looking to escape. Shlemenko looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Shlemenko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… White is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by White and Shlemenko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko trying to mount his opponent but White defends it. White wants to improve his position but Shlemenko is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Shlemenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Shlemenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shlemenko controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Shlemenko advances position into side control! White can't do much from the bottom here. White tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Shlemenko dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
White has his takedown stuffed and Shlemenko counters with a shoot takedown. White fights it but they end up in guard. Shlemenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alexander Shlemenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. White is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. White pulls Shlemenko in to control the position. Shlemenko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Shlemenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shlemenko lands a couple of digs. Shlemenko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. White keeping moving, preventing Shlemenko from controlling successfully.

White is controlling Shlemenko 's posture. Shlemenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shlemenko .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. White tries for a takedown but Shlemenko circles away easily and Shlemenko counters with a nice double leg into guard. White trying to keep a closed guard but Shlemenko is proving a slippery customer.

White has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shlemenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shlemenko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in White's guard now. That's four minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko slips a nice elbow through White's hands, connecting with White's forehead. White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shlemenko is working away from the top position though. White is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Shlemenko jumps into side control! White is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shlemenko 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Shlemenko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jesco White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! White taking some punishment here, with Shlemenko in his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Shlemenko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shlemenko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
