Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bateman comes to the cage accompanied by Dio - Push. Ryan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tessie. On his way into the cage it seems that Brock Bateman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brock Bateman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brock Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paddy Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan drives through and clinches with Bateman against the cage.
Ryan has Bateman pressed against the cage, preventing Bateman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ryan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bateman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bateman defending well as Ryan loads up on a big left hand.
Bateman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bateman misses with a straight left.
Ryan tries to clinch but Bateman is having none of it.
Bateman digs a good hook to Ryan's body.
Ryan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bateman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ryan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ryan wants to hit a switch here but Bateman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ryan there!
Bateman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ryan is looking to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ryan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ryan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bateman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Ryan trying desperately to get to his feet.
Ryan tries to hold on but Bateman postures up.
Bateman controlling from the full mount.
Ryan is looking to get to half guard.
Ryan is bucking up trying to escape but Bateman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bateman raining down shots from the mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ryan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bateman cracks Ryan with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Bateman!
