The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratcliffe shoots in for a double leg but da Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ratcliffe looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Jonathan Ratcliffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
da Silva thuds his right hand into Ratcliffe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ratcliffe closes this distance looking for a takedown but da Silva circles away.
da Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Ratcliffe sprawls well. He's pushed da Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oh but da Silva is tightening it up a little... Ratcliffe has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ratcliffe reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ratcliffe taps out! nice BJJ there by da Silva!
