Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and malgosh McSister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, malgosh McSister!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSister tries to clinch there but Rock circles away.

Rock closes the distance and clinches.
A body shot lands from McSister.
Rock is trying to break the clinch but McSister has him pressed against the cage.
McSister goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rock prevents it.
A short body shot lands from McSister as the two fighters clinch.
McSister tries for a takedown. No joy.
McSister has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Rock ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rock no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McSister wants to stand but Rock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

McSister got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McSister has managed to get both his arms back between Rock's legs - danger averted.

Rock has closed the distance and engaged McSister in a clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McSister putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rock in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Rock fails to pull the fight into his guard.

McSister misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rock.

McSister pulls guard successfully.
Rock controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rock wants to stand but McSister is controlling his posture from full guard.

McSister has his feet on Rock's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

No luck for McSister with that takedown attempt.
Tony Rock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of malgosh McSister.
Rock shoots in and drives through. McSister sprawls well.
Rock is breathing heavily.
Rock tries to clinch up.
McSister tries to close the distance and clinch but Rock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Rock counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McSister not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McSister is working an open guard so Rock takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

McSister tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Rock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McSister manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rock manages to get himself to full guard.
McSister trying to control the position from guard on top but Rock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McSister on the ground.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tony Rock dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


McSister darts in trying to clinch

and Rock moves into the clinch.

McSister will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rock up against the cage.

Rock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rock throws a lazy right hand but McSister sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

McSister fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rock sprawls well initially but McSister persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McSister is trying to control. Rock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Rock actively working from the bottom here.
McSister tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rock controls his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McSister wants to control but Rock is keeping him busy.
Rock trying to hold on to McSister's head to control him but McSister postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rock tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McSister paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McSister is looking to clinch.

Rock scores a takedown into full mount!
McSister is trying to escape the mount.
McSister regains half guard.
McSister tries to kick Rock off but Rock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rock is trying to control. McSister wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
McSister moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Rock is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McSister is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McSister has escaped and now he's on top!
McSister throws a big right hand that misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rock is looking for a triangle but McSister pushes his legs off easily.
McSister with a flurry of punches that miss.
McSister trying to control but Rock is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rock can't keep his opponent in guard - McSister advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

malgosh McSister showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Rock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McSister as he avoids it easily.
McSister tries to clinch there but Rock circles away.
Nice takedown defense from McSister. No joy for Rock on that attempt.
McSister scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Rock counters with a nice double leg into side control. McSister won't be happy with that.
McSister is trying to get back to half guard.
McSister is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rock stops McSister from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rock wants to advance to full mount but McSister doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Rock wants to pass the guard but McSister is keeping the position.
McSister is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McSister pulls Rock in to control the position.
McSister is trying to keep Rock in close.
McSister wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rock is now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rock is trying to control. McSister wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
McSister pushes Rock off looking to stand but Rock dives back in and keeps control.

McSister is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rock's back!

Rock breaks McSister's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rock would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Tony Rock showed his dominance in that final round.
