Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake E Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammond Chese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake E Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hammond Chese!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Chese moves away and avoids it.
Chese blocks a jab.

Chese closes the distance and clinches.
Chese looking for a takedown.
Lee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lee tries to break free but Chese pushes him back against the ropes.
Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Chese drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lee gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lee tries to break the clinch but Chese is controlling the position.
Lee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lee is trying to force a seperation but Chese has the dominant position.
Chese can't get the takedown.
Jake E Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammond Chese.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee is pressed up against the ropes. Chese has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lee down to the mat. Lee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Chese drives through and clinches with Lee against the ropes.
Lee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but Chese won't allow it.
Lee tries to circle away but Chese has him pinned against the ropes.

Chese goes for a takedown attempt but Lee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Chese lands with a good body shot.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Chese bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Chese.
Chese lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Chese throws a nice inside leg kick.

Chese has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.
Lee can't get the takedown.
Lee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Chese drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lee pulls his leg out and moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Lee misses the target.
Lee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chese.

Chese clinches up against the ropes.
Chese is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Chese lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chese keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Chese frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chese wants to control but instead Lee manages to regain half guard.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Chese is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lee trying to hold on to Chese's head to control him but Chese postures up.
Lee tries to roll over but Chese keeps him under control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Chese is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lee desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Lee is looking to control Chese's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lee avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chese stops Lee from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Chese slips a jab and a cross from Lee.
Chese feints and then cracks Lee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lee down.
Chese moves out of range of the strikes.
Lee misses with a straight left.
Lee thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chese.
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chese closes the distance and clinches.
Chese looking for a takedown.
Chese should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lee is trying to break free.

Lee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Chese trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hammond Chese dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chese.
Chese uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee.
Chese uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Jake E Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee misses with an uppercut.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A head kick from Chese lands but Lee takes it in his stride.

Chese closes the distance and pushes Lee back into the ropes.
Lee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chese smiles and moves away.

Chese gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Chese lands a damaging elbow.
Lee takes an elbow to the forehead.
Chese content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Lee is trying to break the clinch but Chese is controlling him.
Lee has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chese fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Chese connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Chese has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.
Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chese walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake E Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee tries to bum rush Chese with a series of wild strikes but Chese uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee throws a looping overhand right but Chese ducks down to avoid it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chese gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lee wants to break free but Chese has control.
Lee tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Chese obliges.
Lee tries to pull guard but Chese holds him up against the ropes and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chese uses from the top position.

Chese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lee wants to sweep here but Chese controlling him for the moment.

Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hammond Chese showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Chese is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Lee can't fight it off and eventually Chese manages to take the fight to the floor. Lee looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chese looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hammond Chese comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chese has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
