Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Cesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leandro Galvao is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Cesar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leandro Galvao! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galvao throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cesar's waist but Cesar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Galvao off to one side. Cesar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cesar trying to control the position but Galvao is working away. You can see the frustration on Galvao's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Galvao tries to buck Cesar off but Cesar is having none of it. Cesar tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Galvao takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Cesar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cesar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! That's one minute gone in the round. Galvao can't do much from the bottom here. Galvao tries to improve position but can't. Cesar is looking to take a break and control but Galvao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Galvao is trying to improve his position. Cesar working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cesar takes a little break here. Galvao wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Cesar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cesar tries to advance to mount but Galvao denies him. Cesar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cesar trying to control the action but Galvao is working from the bottom. Galvao sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Cesar uses his free foot to push down on Galvao's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Galvao. Cesar looking for a guillotine from mount but Galvao is having none of it. Cesar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cesar misses with a head shot. Galvao holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cesar tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Galvao is desperately trying to improve his position but Cesar has a good base and remains in mount. Cesar connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Galvao sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Galvao is looking to control Cesar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Galvao avoid being mounted? Galvao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cesar winds up and cracks Galvao with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Galvao gets full guard. Galvao lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cesar! Galvao looking to control but Cesar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cesar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cesar wants to hold on but Galvao pushes him away. Cesar sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcelo Cesar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Galvao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cesar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Galvao shoots and misses and Cesar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Galvao is trying to break free. Cesar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Galvao clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Cesar just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Galvao turns into Cesar and is now in his guard.
Cesar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Galvao is controlling him. Cesar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Galvao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nice strikes from Cesar there. Cesar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar forces the positional change into back control. Cesar missing with punches from the back. Cesar really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Galvao. Cesar working for the choke. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Galvao trying to control the hands but Cesar won't let him. Galvao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cesar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cesar trying to control. Cesar has Galvao flattened out and is raining down punches. Cesar goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Galvao escapes and is now in half guard on top. Cesar is concentrating on defense, preventing Galvao from advancing position. Cesar gets full guard. Cesar wriggles free and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Galvao wants to clinch but Cesar slips to the side and Cesar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cesar. Cesar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cesar postures up.
Cesar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Galvao is looking to stand up but Cesar isn't so interested in that idea. Cesar scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Galvao is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cesar passes Galvao's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cesar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Galvao defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cesar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Galvao on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Cesar is looking for a kimura here.
Cesar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Galvao trying to hold on to Cesar's head to control him but Cesar postures up.
Cesar works his way into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcelo Cesar dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Galvao tries to clinch and Cesar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Galvao won't be happy with that. Cesar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cesar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cesar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Galvao is trying to get back to half guard. Galvao stops Cesar from passing to mount. Sloppy strikes there by Cesar. Galvao is looking for a sweep. Cesar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Galvao, who protects the arm well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Galvao tries to bench press Cesar off him but Cesar keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar working away. Cesar tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Galvao stalks Cesar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cesar's face. Cesar staggers backwards, shaken. Galvao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cesar.
Galvao shoots and misses and Cesar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cesar keeps control of Galvao as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cesar manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Galvao being controlled here momentarily. Galvao is sitting in close to Cesar's body. Cesar has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Galvao is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Galvao is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cesar.
