Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corey Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Levi Gene!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gene swivels and escapes.
Gene wants to clinch.
Gene moves in looking to clinch but Moore pushes him off.
Moore tries to bum rush Gene with a series of wild strikes but Gene uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown by Moore or perhaps it was just good defense by Gene which made him look bad.
Gene stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gene wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gene slaps away a takedown attempt from Moore, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Moore could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gene lands with a kick to the ribs.
Gene stuffs the takedown.
Moore is breathing heavily.
Gene fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moore sprawls well initially but Gene persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gene is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gene thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moore's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gene is trying to control. Moore wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gene throwing shots but Moore is blocking nicely.
Moore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gene passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Moore!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gene cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gene landing shots from mount.
Gene fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moore is rocked!
Gene wants to control the pace but Moore is squirming around nicely.
Oh Moore is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moore seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gene postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Moore badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gene around the waist but Gene pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gene is the winner by TKO! Gene jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Levi Gene!
